What’s The Use of Recycling?
Today all we hear about is how we have to recycle everything to save our planet from danger. But is it really worth the trouble? Think about the fact that a single plastic shopping bag can take about 1,000 years to completely decompose. That’s a very long time, and remember that’s just one bag. Imagine the number of plastic shopping and trash bags you discard each year. Then times that by everybody in the country… it all adds up. A good idea would be to recycle the plastic bag instead of letting it sit in the landfill slowly breaking down. Numerous things can be recycled such as shopping bags being used to make clothing and old tires being used in creating children’s playgrounds. Most things can be recycled.
A California town, called Lemoore, first got started on a very exacting recycling program for its residents fifteen years earlier. Lemoore who did not follow the rules of recycling were fined. Needless to say, many folks followed and recycling truly helped this town. A new water park and a new playground were built. Their recycling attempts enabled them to fund a police department and other basic municipal essentials. Thus, not only does recycling help to reuse waste, it can also make money for other things.
Most likely, you feel that you as a single person can’t make a big difference by your recycling but just imagine how much the world would change if everyone did just a little bit of a recycling. We would not need such sizable landfills, which would save operating costs and keep the terrain. Through recycling, we can take care of the earth and also help to generate money for communities in need. Everyone profits.

This can all be recycled, so why just throw it away?
Of course, currently we don’t have the technology to recycle a few things but this could change soon. Currently, nevertheless, there’s no reason that recyclable items like plastic, metals, and glass should be tossed in landfills.
